It isn’t easy to get ahead of the game in the competitive world of sports betting but it's clear DraftKings Sportsbook Kansas is putting it's best foot forward in that pursuit launching a generous promo that sports bettors can claim by pre-registering before the market goes live.

The DraftKings Kansas promo offered for registering early is $100 in Free Bets to use on the launch day for sports betting online in Kansas The market will open for legal sports betting online some time in September, but you can make some extra marketing cash if you get in early with this pre-registration promo.

For context, industry sources tell BetKansas.com that a launch before the NFL Kickoff Game on Sept. 8 is unlikely, but Kansas sports fans should be able to place their bets early in the season. To place a sports bet in the legal Kansas market, you'll need to open an account with an betting site like DraftKings, which is not waiting for the official launch it wants to get your business.

For example, as further incentive, DraftKings is also offering the chance to win a $100,000 free bet and an additional four $25 free bets.

What Will You Get for Registering Early?

The pre-registration bonus has two components. First you get four $25 free bets. Secondly you get entry into a sweepstake that has just one prize; a huge $100,000 free bet. One lucky sports bettor will get the chance to bet $100,000 on a single bet.

Terms and Conditions apply, as always, but these are remarkably generous. To get the $100 in free bets and the sweepstakes entry all you have to do is register for a new account at DraftKings.

You will not be able to bet until the market officially launches but when it does you will be ahead of the pack and ready to go.

Free bets cannot be used for odds boosts, parlays, live bets and cash out bets. You can’t use them for massive odds on favorites either. The minimum odds where you can use them are at +300. You also have to use the bets within seven days of the market opening.

If your free bets win, you will receive 100% of your winnings but unlike when you stake your own money, you will not get the amount of the free bet returned to you. Fair enough given the amount of money the sportsbook's marketing team are looking to spend in Kansas.

Which Sportsbook Might Launch Pre-Registration Next?

DraftKings might be accepting new accounts in Kansas now but they weren't the first to do so; FanDuel was the first sportsbook to offer early registration in Kansas.

A year ago Arizona was in the same position as Kansas. DraftKings and FanDuel fought for early registrations, but they weren’t alone in the pre-market competition. We fully expect more operators to join the wave of early registration.

Caesars had new software and a new determination to challenge for the US sports betting crown. If it follows the same marketing strategy as it used in Arizona we should see Caesars Sportsbook Kansas pitch its woo to sports bettors. This may well take the form of a generous free bet offer accompanied by a deal to get a free NFL jersey from your favorite team.

There are many more global sports betting brands looking to enter the Kansas market. Each Kansas licensed casino can partner with up to three brands to offer online sports betting. DraftKings is partnered with the Boot Hill Casino in Dodge City. Both are eager for the market to launch:

“As manager for Boot Hill Casino & Resort for the Kansas Lottery, we are pleased to work with DraftKings to bring first in class mobile sportsbook to Kansas,” said Clark Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of Boot Hill Casino & Resort. “DraftKings is a leader in this fast growing industry and will bring a trusted, experienced mobile sports betting application to sports fans in Kansas, when the law allows.”
