Sporting KC Leads Ranking Of Safest MLS Stadiums

Despite an up-and-down campaign across Kansas sports betting this season for members of Sporting Kansas City, with the club sitting 10th out of 14 teams in the MLS Western Conference with a 2-5-4 record, there’s reason for celebration around Children’s Mercy Park.

Children’s Mercy Park Takes Top Spot In MLS

While no one would argue that Sporting KC has much of a shot at winning the club’s third MLS Cup in 2024 (with Caesars Sportsbook Kansas listing the club at +6600 to do so), at least the Kansas club did take home the No. 1 spot when it came to stadium grounds safety.

Overall, the club’s score of 15.41 finished well ahead of the next closest grounds, like Gillette Stadium in New England (34.36), Toyota Stadium in Frisco (40.39), Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson (56.74) and Saputo Stadium in Montreal (59.23).

Throw in America First Field in Salt Lake City (61.39), Red Bull Arena in New Jersey (63.83), BMO Stadium in Los Angeles (67.91), PayPal Park in San Jose (70.82) and Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte (73.95) and you have the full top 10 in the MLS when it comes to stadium safety scores, though all of those grounds fell well short of Sporting KC’s Children’s Mercy Park in 2024.
