It’s been a banner decade for the Kansas City Chiefs, with eight consecutive playoff appearances and a pair of Super Bowl titles since 2010.

Unsurprisingly, given that yearly success rate, the Chiefs are among the NFL’s best teams out of the gate since 2010, posting the league’s second-best winning percentage during the first calendar month of the regular season.

With the NFL season getting close to its first month, BetKansas.com utilized StatMuse.com to find the records of every NFL team in September since 2010 to help with your Kansas sports betting plans.

Chiefs Have Thrived Out Of The Gate

The Chiefs’ .691 September winning percentage since 2010 ranks second overall in the NFL, behind the Green Bay Packers’ .693 figure.

Kansas City’s 29 September wins since 2010 are the third most of any franchise, behind Green Bay and New England, which have 30 wins apiece.

This season, the Chiefs will play three September games, hosting Detroit on Sept. 7 and Chicago on Sept. 24, with a road game against Jacksonville in between.

That trio of NFL teams posted a combined record of 21-30 a season ago, meaning the Chiefs will likely be able to further improve their September winning percentage in 2023.

If you’re looking for a way to spend your Kansas sportsbook promos, the Chiefs are 6.5-point favorites against the Lions with an over/under of 54.5.

Although Kansas City’s opening stretch seems soft, the Lions are considered a team on the rise.

Caesars Sportsbook Kansas has the Lions as +120 to win the NFC North.
