Kanas City's Strong Year Pays Off

Heading into this week's action, the Chiefs Super Bowl odds place them atop the list of favorites to take home the Lombardi Trophy, just ahead of the Bills and 49ers.

The Chiefs started the 2022-2023 NFL season as Super Bowl favorites despite the losses of star wide receiver Tyreek Hill and safety Tyrann Mathieu. After starting the season 2-1, the team won 12 of the next 14 games to finish the season 14-3, tied for the best record with the Philadelphia Eagles. As a result, the Chiefs locked up the top seed in the AFC, earning them a first-round bye in the playoffs.

To get to that top AFC spot, the Chiefs relied on quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is the betting favorite to win the NFL MVP award after throwing for 5,250 yards and 41 TDs. Additionally, the Chiefs dispatched all divisional opponents, going 8-0 against the Chargers, Raiders and Broncos combined.

Over the course of the season, the Chiefs scored an average of 29.2 points per game, leading all teams, and allowing 21.7 points per game. The team's yards per game of 413.6 also ranked atop all others, while yards allowed per game of 328.2 was 10th.

Worth noting, the Chiefs hold the longest active streak for playoff appearances having made the postseason eight straight years in a row dating back to 2015 when Mahomes joined the team as a rookie. The eight straight season places Kansas City tied for 5th all-time in consecutive playoff appearances.

Chiefs Looks to Stop Red-Hot Jaguars

The Super Bowl favorite Chiefs kick off their playoff run Saturday against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Arrowhead Stadium. The team will look to stop the red-hot Jaguars, who finished the regular season winning six of the final seven games.

The Jags are riding the high of pulling off the third-largest comeback in NFL playoff history against the Chargers in the Wild Card round. The Chiefs are sure to have their hands full with Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who has a record of 37-0 in Saturday games dating back to his time in high school.

The offer featured above is one of many promotions bettors will be able to enjoy throughout the playoffs, so be sure to check out the latest Kansas sports betting promo codes to ensure you get the best available offers each day.
