What Bet Protect+ Covers

Bet Protect+ protects a specific outcome: a player you have money on leaves the game due to injury. The coverage lasts the full game, including overtime. On a straight bet, if the covered player exits with an injury, the stake comes back in cash. On a Same Game Parlay, the injured player's leg is removed and the remaining legs settle at adjusted odds. This protection is limited to injuries. It does not cover a player being ejected, benched, or given a reduced role by the coaching staff.

The September Fee Waiver, Explained

Bet Protect+ normally costs 3% of the qualifying bet. During September, that cost is waived entirely, so it runs at 0%. There is no toggle to switch on and no separate offer code to redeem. Every eligible NFL Player Prop or Same Game Parlay placed during Weeks 1 through 3 gets the protection automatically included at no cost. This includes Kansas City Chiefs Week 1 games on MNF against the Broncos.

What This Means for Bettors in Kansas

A large share of Kansas sports betting activity centers on the Kansas City Chiefs, whose fan base spans both sides of the state line. Anyone placing a player prop on a Chiefs game, or building a parlay around any other NFL matchup, gets the same automatic injury protection this September at no added fee. Kansas legalized mobile sports betting in September 2022, so this promotion arrives in a market that already has a few NFL seasons of betting history behind it. The offer is tied to the calendar. Once Week 3 ends, the standard 3% Bet Protect+ fee resumes unless FanDuel states otherwise.

Betting Responsibly

Bet Protect+ addresses injury outcomes only, and normal eligibility rules for Kansas sports betting still apply, including being 21 or older and located within the state to wager. Anyone concerned about their gambling habits can call 1-800-522-4700, the Kansas problem gambling helpline, for free and confidential help.
