This Saturday is Fast Food Day, but many of us commemorate it on a weekly basis.

A study by DriveResearch.com shows nearly two-thirds of people hit a quick-service restaurant at least once a week, with more than a third stopping by several times. It’s easy to understand because many families are always on the go – shuffling between meetings, school and activities on the evenings and weekends.

Ahead of the big day, BetKansas.com – the website where the best Kansas sportsbook promo codes are found – analyzed the most popular fast food chain restaurants for Kansans. We looked at search results of each chain from No. 7, 2023, to Nov. 7, 2024. Coffee chains were eliminated from the research.

Top Fast Food For Kansas Residents

The results were not surprising in the land of Kansas sports betting. McDonald’s, the restaurant that introduced fast food nationwide 70 years ago, topping our search lists. However, the data shows that Kansans love tacos and chicken almost as much as they crave burgers and fries.

Did you know that the average person, according to Drive Research, spends nearly $150 each month on fast food? However, men almost spend twice as much ($196) as women ($99). Fast food is more popular for millennials ($214) than any other generation, followed by Gen X ($164), Gen Z ($120) and Baby Boomers ($59).

So, how can Sunflower State residents celebrate the day? Obviously, they can swing by their favorite Sonic or Culver’s or other fast-food joint. They can even DoorDash it and have the food brought to the house as they watch the Kansas State Wildcats compete to stay in the race for a spot in next month’s Big 12 Championship Game.

The Wildcats host Arizona State in battle of two teams that are in a four-way tie for third at 4-2 in the Big 12 as of this past weekend’s games.

Oddsmakers at Caesars Kansas Sportsbook have made the host Wildcats an 8.5-point favorite for the game, scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. Central.
